Who we are
Olsen Creations is a small business in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, that makes and sells personalized leather, wood and 3D-printed goods.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and what you bought.
- Personalization: the names, text and choices you enter for a product, and any files you upload, such as a logo.
- Messages: what you send us through our contact or custom project forms, including any files you attach.
- Reviews: if you leave a product review, we collect your name, email address and review. Your name and review are shown publicly on the product page; your email address is not.
- Payment: payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number goes directly to Stripe and is never stored on our site.
- Technical information: our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested.
We don’t offer customer accounts. You check out as a guest, so we don’t store a password or profile for you.
Cookies
- Our store uses cookies to remember what’s in your cart and to run checkout. They don’t follow you to other sites.
- Stripe sets cookies and uses device information during checkout to prevent fraud. See the Stripe Privacy Policy.
- We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don’t track you across other websites. Because of that, our site doesn’t change its behavior in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
How we use it
- To make, ship and support your order, including your personalization.
- To send order confirmations and updates, and to answer your questions.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
- To keep the business and tax records we’re required to keep.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the services needed to run the store:
- Stripe, to process payments.
- Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES), to send our emails.
- InMotion Hosting, which hosts this website.
- Shipping carriers, which receive your name and shipping address to deliver your order.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Who can see your information
Only Olsen Creations can see your order, contact details and uploaded files in our store. We use them to make, ship and support your order.
How long we keep it
We keep order records, including your name, email address and addresses, for as long as tax and accounting rules require. The IRS generally recommends keeping business records for 3 to 7 years. Files uploaded with an order are kept with that order. Files uploaded to a cart that never becomes an order are deleted automatically after 7 days. Messages sent through our forms are kept in our email as long as we need them to help you.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support@olsencreations.com. We’ll delete what we can, but we may need to keep order records we’re legally required to keep.
Security
Our site uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections, uploaded files are stored where the public can’t reach them, and card details never touch our server. If a data breach ever affects your personal information, we’ll notify you as the law requires.
Children
Our store isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
